Changing the Address on Your Driver’s License
If you have moved and need to change the address on your driver’s license, you must notify the Public Safety Commission of your new address (Change of Address Notification for Driver’s License).
You can apply at a driver’s license testing center or the driver’s license counter at the police station that has jurisdiction over your new address.
The application form for changing the address on your driver’s license (Change of Address Notification for Driver’s License) is available at the testing center and police station.
There is no fee for changing the address on your driver’s license.

Required Items for Changing the Address on Your Driver’s License
You will need the following items:
- Driver’s license
- Change of Address Notification for Driver’s License (available at the testing center and police station)
- One document that verifies your new address (e.g., a copy of your resident card, health insurance card, ID card, mail addressed to your new address, etc.)
Note
If using a copy of your resident card, it must be issued by the municipal office. Copies or reproductions are not acceptable. Additionally, the copy of the resident card will not be returned to you, so please be aware.
If There Are Changes to Your Name or Registered Domicile
If there are changes to your name or registered domicile due to marriage or other reasons, you will need a copy of your resident card that includes your registered domicile. (For foreign nationals, a Certificate of Alien Registration is required.)
Procedure for Changing the Address on Your Driver’s License
The procedure for changing the address on your driver’s license is as follows:
- Complete the Change of Address Notification for Driver’s License form
- Submit the form at the testing center or police station and complete the reception process
- The changes will be noted on the back of your driver’s license
- Your updated driver’s license will be returned to you (procedure completed
